The reserve is located on the western shores of Jozini Dam amidst acacia grassland and good game viewing is available when animals come down to the dam to drink.

There is prolific bird life including an established colony of storks. Hippos and crocodiles are usually seen on the boat rides. The famous tiger fish may be caught in the dam.

Accommodation: Nkwazi Lodge is fully equipped for 14 persons together with braai facilities and a swimming pool. Igababa Lodge takes five people. Guests cook their own food but there is a cleaning service.
