The topography is similar to that of the adjacent Mkuze Game Reserve. There are game drives, walking trails, fishing, night drives and hunting.

Natal South Africa 2010Mammals include wildebeest, baboon, elephant, giraffe, impala, kudu, leopard, hyaena, waterbuck, rhino, zebra, monkey, warthog and reedbuck. There are also over 200 species of birds.

Three five bed , self catering units comprise the Mfula lodge. A swimming pool and braai facilities are available.
