Durban is located on the South east coast of South Africa. Its shoreline is washed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

It lies 600kms South of the Tropic of Capricorn at latitude 28o South (approximately the same as Brisbane) and 32o east.

Durban's proximity to the warm Mozambique current ensures an equable, sub-tropical climate. Summers (Nov - Mar) are characterized by sultry days with occasional thunder showers while winters (May - Oct) are normally dry, sunny and balmy.

Proximity to Major Attractions:
