Website Design Courses

We run these courses occasionally on an individual (one on one) tuition basis. The course is intensive and designed to get the student up and running and capable of designing his own websites very quickly. The course is run two mornings a week for eight weeks to a total of 40 hours tuition.

Students range from housewives to programmers so the curriculum and pace is modified to suit. All students will design at least one website. Students have gone on to pursue a career in website design or have created their own website design businesses.

1. What constitutes good/poor website design;
2. Usability - readability, cross platform/cross browser issues, navigation, accessibility, download time issues;
3. HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS);
4. Graphics related to websites - generated (vector) and photographic (bitmap);
5. The use of cascading style sheets related to page formatting;
6. Content and the importance of information transfer;
7. Internet marketing techniques;
8. Search engines, search optimization techniques;

The course fee is R8,950.00.
